Title: An Anatomy of Sino-Japanese Disputes and U.S. Involvement
    Sub-title: History and International Law
By (author): Dr. James C Hsiung
    ISBN10-13: 1627740988 : 9781627740982
The present treatise, his 22nd book, is a rare in-depth analysis of the Sino-Japanese island dispute from the perspectives of both history and the international law of territorial acquisition. The broad approach examines the gestalt of the troubled Sino-Japanese relations going back to the 16th century, so that the reader will be adequately equipped to grapple with the true significance of the present contention over the Diaoyu/Senkaku island. The subject matter the book addresses not only concerns the two Asian giants, but also offers a test for the United States, more especially on how it is going to lead a Pacific-centric 21st century in world politics.
    About The Author:
Dr. James C. Hsiung is Professor of Politics and international law at New York University, His teaching and research interests go beyond international law and politics, but extend to East Asian politics (China and Japan), Asian international relations, and Asian political cultures. Among his broad professional concerns are America’s strategic stakes in Pacific Asia. He is author and editor of 21 well-received books, including his Twenty-First Century World Order and the Asia Pacific (2001), Anarchy and Order: The Interplay of Politics and Law in International Relations (1997); Asia Pacific in the New World Politics (1993); Comprehensive Security: Challenge for Pacific Asia (2004); China and Japan at Odds: Deciphering the Perpetual Conflict (2007); and China into Its Second Rise: Myths, Puzzles, Paradoxes, and Challenge to Theory (2012).

    Title: Art Mao
Sub-title: The Big Little Red Book of Maoist Art Since 1949
By (author): Pia Copper, Francesca Dal Lago
    ISBN10-13: 1627740953 : 9781627740951
The image of Chairman Mao (Mao Zedong) is arguably one of the most reproduced in modern history. Long since liberated from its original propagandist purpose, it has become a prism through which artists, from Andy Warhol to Ai Wei Wei, have commented on the evolution of Chinese culture since the great revolution. In Art Mao, Pia Copper has curated a remarkable archive of these images from 97 artists, placing them in their political, social, artistic and cultural context. Art Mao is not just a collection of Mao images, it is a fun and thought-provoking guide to an iconic figure and his complex relationship with the Chinese people and the world.
    About The Author:
Pia Copper an independent art consultant and curator of Chinese art. She writes widely, and organizes exhibitions around the world. She studied Taoism at the Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes in Paris.
Francesca Dal Lago, whose celebrated essay introduces Art Mao, is a scholar specialising in modern and contemporary Chinese art. She holds a PhD on the history of Chinese art from the Institute of Fine Arts and New York University, and lives between Italy and Paris.

    Title: China Threat?
Sub-title: The Challenges, Myths and Realities of China's Rise
    By (author): Dr. Lionel Vairon
    ISBN10-13: 1627740007 : 9781627740005
From the long-term threat of nuclear war between the United States and China, to the disappearance of the African elephant due to Chinese demand for ivory, each week brings a new round of critique and denunciation of the risks China poses to the stability of the entire planet. While critics raise a certain number of fundamental questions that bear asking about this nascent superpower, the answers put forth are usually based on ideological or economic considerations. Lionel Vairon systematically challenges these views in this updated edition of China Threat? With an incisive review of China’s economic strategy, deployment of resources, national defense, political reform, ethnicity and religion, terrorism, and developments in human rights, Vairon amply demonstrates that China poses no threat to the world. On the contrary, China Threat? shows that China’s peaceful rise should be a matter of positive news across the globe.
    About The Author:
Dr. Lionel Vairon, CEO of CEC Consulting, holds a PhD in Vietnamese Studies, and master's degrees in Chinese language and culture and in Political Science. He taught at the Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales (INALCO), Hautes Études Commerciales de Paris (HEC Paris), and the Collège Interarmées de Défense. He is also a lecturer in the Institut des Hautes Études de Défense Nationale (France) and the China Executive Leadership Academy Pudong. Vairon has worked as a journalist and editor, and served as a diplomat for 16 years, particularly in Cambodia, Thailand and Iraq, and was then assigned for five years at the French Ministry of Defense as expert in the North Africa and Middle East department.

Confucian Filiality is a wide-ranging work of scholarship on the role of filial piety in the Confucian value system. Gao approaches this core element of Confucian ethics with a fresh approach, synthesizing the classical Chinese research model and modern methodologies. Gao's analysis of Confucian filial piety from historical, societal, and philosophical perspectives enables a deeper understanding of this key Chinese moral value. At the core of Confucian Filiality, Gao provides the first English translation of the old script text ofXiaojing, or theClassic of Filial Piety.

Title: Great Power Leader Xi Jinping
By (author): Liu Hong, Ross Terrill
    ISBN10-13: 1627740503 : 9781627740500
Xi Jinping, China's top leader, is an historical figure who is taking China onto the center stage of world. In the past few years, Xi Jinping has reshaped China. On corruption, he is impartial and merciless, refusing to do anything with relatives and friends, so that the most daring forecasters were amazed; On economic reform, he is bold and resolute, and won praise as the chief architect of China's economy; on military issues, he initiated the boldest reforms since the Chinese Communist Party has been in power and the Chinese military is rapidly becoming stronger. He is also known as the new geo-political master. Since AIIB (Asia Infrastructure Investment Bank) was established, the United States and Japan have suffered the biggest diplomatic setbacks for decades, dramatically changed the international financial landscape. His "One Belt & One Road" initiative will profoundly change the international balance and will have a more far-reaching impact than the "Marshall Plan" Calm, pragmatic, firm but gentle, he has his own principles, even with his North Korea ally, who once violated China's national interests. He resolutely established sanctions. In the South China Sea, while a series of China’s islands were violated by other countries, he decided to approve large scale island reinforcement, at one fell swoop, changing the passive situation of the South China Sea. Xi Jinping is a great power leader who accepts the responsibility and has demonstrated the ability to make daring decisions. His books on governing China have sold in hundreds of countries all over the world. In his state visits to foreign countries, his casual speech and charm demonstrate soft power. Great Power Leader Xi Jinping: International Perspectives on China's Leader has been written from the perspective of politicians and the media towards Xi Jinping, showing Xi Jinping in areas of economic reform, anti-corruption, military re-building, One Belt & One Road, and soft power initiatives in the Taiwan Strait, the South China Sea, and the Korean peninsula. Xi Jinping’s approach to other hot issues are viewed objectively and prove the Chinese leader's responsibility and grasp of ambitious plans and great strategic ideas. To understand how the world looks at Xi Jinping, read the Great Power Leader Xi Jinping: International Perspectives on China's Leader.
