By analyzing sources from the history of churches, literature and the city of Vienna, an updated history or completely new interpretations emerge for these sagas, objects and house signs, which emphasize the suppression and overwriting mechanism of the sagas. With this historical and cultural studies approach, the author makes a methodological contribution to unmasking subtle political propaganda even in the present.
