What does authority mean? Hit the table with your fist? To enforce one's power and will more or less ruthlessly? Too often authority is still associated with men who do just that. Many women (and men) in management positions have long been successfully leading in a completely different way: With respected authority, they win over employees so that they can work with them with pleasure and trust.
