WAREHOUSING & DISTRIBUTION
Every process, from stock control, order processing, pick and pack to despatch is physically undertaken by Gazelle personnel and recorded, ensuring a clear and transparent audit trail. This sets us apart from our competitors. Orders are picked 5 days a week and turnaround is swift, ensuring repeat business and client loyalty. Sales are reported monthly.
We work on consignment terms i.e. publishers provide us with their stock and we report sales on a monthly basis.
Gazelle is always happy to store a reasonable amount of working stock at no charge. For Publishers who wish to store larger amounts, we now offer pallet storage at an extremely competitive rate. If movement of this stock is required at a later date, we are happy to arrange shipment at an affordable rate.
To optimise shipping costs for international publishers sending stock to Gazelle’s warehouse, Gazelle has multiple consolidation centres at ports around the world. Our Publishers’ only cost is to send stock to the most convenient port. Full shipping instructions and ready-to-print shipping labels for each port are available on our website. Gazelle supplies free shipping from the USA (weekly), Canada, India and South Africa (bi-monthly), Australia (monthly) and for our European Publishers, Germany (weekly) For a full list of our free shipping destinations, please contact us (email@example.com)
The Gazelle UK sales team has long-standing relationships with the key retailers including Waterstone’s, WH Smiths, Gardners, Foyles and Blackwell’s, as well as multiple online sellers such as Amazon and the Book Depository, giving us a global outreach. We have monthly sales and marketing engagements with our retailers/clients to ensure we are meeting their changing and evolving needs. International clients are managed by our representatives in Europe, the Middle East, South Africa and Asia. (firstname.lastname@example.org)
BOOK FAIRS AND EVENTS
You will find Gazelle at all three annual Book Fairs in London, BEA America and Frankfurt. In addition, we offer support to authors who wish to organise their own launch events. We also actively support and attend several academic society conferences to continually develop our sector knowledge.
Probably the biggest change in business in the last decade has been the role of social media in marketing and business development. Gazelle’s marketing team are young, dynamic and fully versed of maximising the potential of Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and more recently in promotional blog form. We actively interact with our publishers, be it by preparing the groundwork of impending titles, maximising current trends or promoting newly released titles by means of social media and brochures. (email@example.com). We absolutely share our Publishers’ passion and drive to sell books and to this end we have developed a range of promotional services including subject-specific catalogues and email campaigns – all this at no extra cost to our Publishers. Our comprehensive marketing system ensures that our Publishers’ titles are shown to booksellers, media reviewers, our growing lists of direct customers and, of course, our sales representatives.
Our in-house catalogue design and production are generated on a monthly basis, as well as a book review and media mailing service.
In addition to Gazelle’s in-house operation, Gazelle employs a team of Representatives, covering not only the UK and Europe but also further afield, including the Middle East and Asia.
