In writing the Foreword to the book Realistic Materia Medica bv Dr. N. K. Baneriee, l have to say that the book has been brought out with an idea of giving within a short compass the basic ideas of Philosophy, Drug Picture and Application of Homoeopathy. How much the author has been successful will only be gauged by the user. The book will be useful to the Homoeopathic Student, the beginner in practice and the busy acute practitioner. There has been no such book by any Indian writer. In this way it does fill up a vacuum in our profession. l expect the book will have a wide circulation.
