Myrna Dey grew up in Calgary and received a B.A. and an M.A. from the University of Alberta in Edmonton. She was a teaching assistant at the University of California, Berkeley during the mid-'60s, and spent time in Berlin, Toronto, and Guyana. Since 1976, she has lived in Kamsack, Saskatchewan, where she and her husband raised their three children. She has published short stories, articles, and essays in Reader's Digest, NeWest Review, Canadian Living, The National Post, The Globe and Mail, and Maclean's.
