From different professional perspectives, this volume is devoted to an important Turkish-German topic: Scientists from Turkey and Germany as well as from England and the USA deal with the effects of 50 years of Turkish labor migration to Germany. In addition to general information on the coexistence of people of German and Turkish origin, the volume contains articles on Turkish-German immigrants and transmigrants, the role of citizenship, the transmigrant theater scene, Turkish-German film, the current concept of home in connection with music and the development of a 'German Turkish'.
