Walter N Nelson is a multidisciplinary artist working in photography, painting, and sculpture. His work is in numerous collections, including the Albuquerque Museum of Art, New Mexico Museum of Art, Houston Museum of Fine Arts and the Graham Nash Collection. He lives in Abiquiu, New Mexico.
Douglas Preston is the author of twenty-five books, both fiction and nonfiction. In 1989 Preston and Nelson retraced on horseback one thousand miles of Francisco Vasquez de Coronado's route while searching for the legendary Seven Cities of Gold, which resulted in the book Cities of Gold: Retracing Coronado.
