Dr Dimitis A Kombogiorgas is Consultant Neurosurgeon at Metropolitan Hospital, Athens, Hellas. He graduated from Medical School of University of Crete and he got the 1st prize for monograph Cancer and the Immune System of the Host in the pre-graduated award competition of Professor C. Wastell MS, FRCS. Following MD studies, Dr. Kombogiorgas obtained the Membership of Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRCSEd) and conducted post-graduated research in Neurooncology (Posterior Fossa Tumors in Childhood - Medulloblastoma) at Child's Institute of Birmingham Childrens' Hospital, U.K. He appointed as Hon. Lecturer in the Division of Neuroscience Neurology at University of Birmingham and obtained the Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Clinical Neurosciences at University of Birmingham. He obtained the Fellowship in Surgical Neurology of Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh FRCS (SN) and served as Consultant Neurosurgeon at University Hospital Birmingham Queen Elizabeth NHS Foundation Trust, UK. He has clinical and research interesting in Neurooncology and Cerebrospinal Fluid Disorders -- Hydrocephalus.
