"Margoshes knows how to tell a good yarn. Those here are funny, sad, wise -- and most of them leave you wishing you could hear more." -- Dave Williamson, What's On Winnipeg, October 7th, 2007.
"You may find Bix's Trumpet and Other Stories by Dave Margoshes nearly as perplexing as a Rubik's cube. ...there's magic in Margoshes's stories and life in his quirky characters. You just can't help liking them for all their foibles." -- Edmonton Journal, 16th December 2007.
"In these tight, even-handed, humane stories, Margoshes' characters obey the 'magnetic force' because they're willing to 'endanger [their] sense of satisfaction' to be anything, just for a little while, but ordinary." -- Saskatoon Star Phoenix, December 29th 2007.
