Graphic artist, designer, mosaic and glass artist, designer of monuments, funerary art, interior design. Leopold Forstner (1878-1936) was a master of his discipline. He reinterpreted mosaic and glass art and brought it to a renaissance. Forstner was a universal artist who combined the creativity of an artist and the perfection of an artisan in one person. As a painter and graphic artist he would have been one of many, as a mosaic, glass and material artist he was a visionary. His talent for merging design and implementation and thinking in terms of material earned him many commissions from well-known artists and architects, such as Gustav Klimt, Kolo Moser, Otto Wagner and Josef Hoffmann.
