"Political personifications" are understood to mean the representation of political institutions, abstract concepts or cities and countries as individual persons in art and literature. This is a method that has been used in Greece since the end of the 5th century BC. BC is demonstrable and at the same time reflects the crisis of the Greek polis. The aim of the book is to record these personifications on the basis of the archaeological, literary and epigraphic remains, to work out the historical circumstances that led to their creation, and to analyze the iconographic models that were used for these personifications. Particular emphasis is placed on their function in the area of ​​tension between politics and society from the 4th to the 1st century BC. BC placed.
