Hong Kong Eurasian Nicole Chabot began writing professionally in 2000. She has lived in Edinburgh, Hong Kong, London and Amsterdam. Until 2011, she worked as a research associate at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University where she wrote Kowloon: Unknown Territory.
