The advanced training concept presented is based on many years of practical experience of colleagues who apply the group analysis according to S. H. Foulkes to work with groups of children and young people. Children and adolescents develop from the beginning in groups and through groups and they bring what they have experienced into every encounter with others. They primarily communicate through action and play, and this is how they organize their social contacts. The group-analytical view makes it possible to understand what is hidden behind the visible behavior of children and adolescents in a group in terms of unconscious dynamics. Group analytical leadership skills for working with children and young people are acquired in the context of self-experienced and reflected group processes in the areas of self-awareness, casework and theoretical inputs.
